大家好！因为现在纽约疫情的严重形势，本次国际象棋积分赛有很多的参赛者告之组委会无法在周日参加比赛，也希望我们能够把比赛推迟举办。

出于对所有参赛者和工作人员健康安全的考虑，经过组委会认真研究，我们决定取消本周日1月9号的国际象棋积分赛，比赛将推迟到二月份之后举行，具体的时间安排我们会尽快公布。给大家造成不便我们深表抱歉，请大家耐心等候，谢谢！

Hi Parents and Students,

As much as we are looking forward to the event, we will have to cancel the tournament this Sunday, January 9th because of the current covid situation.

We have several cancellations among the participants and many families are hoping to postpone the event for safety reasons. The organizing committee discussed and decided to postpone the tournament in February. More details will be announced soon.

We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience, and we will be happy to refund or credit any registrations.

The 1st New York Sense Chess Tournament 

Date: January 9, 2022 Sunday

Venue: Sense Academy

General Information:

● Equipment: Chess sets, clocks, and notation sheets will be provided.

● Game Format: Swiss System

● USCF Membership: Current USCF membership required for all sections, except Novice.

● Registration and Entry fee: $45 by December 25rd, $55 after.

$10 admin fee for either cancellation, by 1/2/22 only.

● Check-in: Arrival 15 minutes before the event is required for check-in.

● Awarding: After each section completes and final results become available, the awarding will follow.

● COVID precautions: Masks are required

● Capacity: Limited to 60 players
